Flow sight glasses are suitable for visual inspection of flow and movement in pipelines and containers. Our flow sight glass fittings enable the quick and reliable monitoring of the function and performance of individual devices and entire systems. Thermal processes can also be observed through the sight glasses.
ACI Industriearmaturen supplies you with flow sight glasses in all possible designs and materials. Our flow sight glasses are available as standard in cast iron, cast steel, or stainless steel, with special materials, such as Hastelloy 2.4605, also possible. For the chemical industry, we additionally have plastic sight glasses in our range.

The housings vary depending on the design and are either made of cast material, solid material (usually stainless steel), or constructed and manufactured as welding versions. Possible connection variants for the different designs of flow sight glass fittings are DIN or ANSI flanges, internal thread connection (BSP and NPT), welding ends, or socket welds. In addition to these connections, we can also manufacture the fittings with test connections, cleaning connections, or with optional accessories such as lamps (also Ex-protected), stainless steel wipers, stainless steel spraying devices, PTFE rotors, and heating jackets.
The total lengths vary depending on the design and nominal size (DN). They adhere as closely as possible to the DIN or ANSI total lengths and with materials according to EN or ASME standards.
The possible pressure levels (PN) range depending on the design from vacuum to high-pressure versions. However, the usual nominal pressure levels are PN 6, PN 16, PN 25, and PN 40. The high-pressure versions are available with flange connection from PN 63 to PN 400 and with welding ends, partly up to 500 bar.
Depending on the working pressure and working temperature, we use technical glasses such as soda-lime glass according to DIN 8902, tempered borosilicate glass according to DIN 7080 or similar to DIN 7080, untempered borosilicate glass, quartz glass, or sapphire glass. The type of glass is determined by the medium and the application temperature and can range from -200°C to +2000°C. Most of the flow sight glasses we sell are made of stainless steel grade 1.4571 (316Ti), covering a very wide spectrum of temperature and operating media. The correct selection of the gasket is influenced by pressure and temperature. Whether O-ring seals for vacuum, seals according to DIN 11851, or flat gaskets are decided based on your specifications and operating conditions.
