The high-pressure flow sight glass type 522 was specially developed for industrial high-pressure applications and stands for maximum operating safety and durability even under extreme conditions. Its particularly robust body, made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel alloys such as 1.4571, guarantees reliable function even under permanently high pressure and temperature loads. On request, versions with particularly resistant materials such as nickel-based alloys or Hastelloy® are also available, allowing the sight glass to be reliably used even in highly aggressive or thermally highly stressed process environments.
Type 522 is characterized by two oppositely arranged sight plates, made of high-quality, thermally tempered borosilicate glass. These glasses are oriented to the requirements of DIN 7080 and allow clear, safe process observation from both sides or targeted illumination of the medium. The bilateral view enables real-time visual monitoring of the process – a significant safety and efficiency advantage in modern process engineering.
The internal threaded connections comply with DIN EN ISO 228-1 (BSP thread) or ANSI B 1.20.1 (NPT thread) and ensure a standardized, secure integration into existing pipeline systems. Depending on the requirements, the flow sight glass can be manufactured for pressure levels up to PN 400, making it ideal for high-pressure processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, or energy industries.
Thanks to its thoughtful design, high-quality material selection, and flexible execution options, the high-pressure sight glass type 522 provides a durable, safe, and individually customizable solution for the most demanding industrial applications.
