The high-pressure flow sight glass type 521 was specifically developed for industrial high-pressure applications and stands for maximum operational safety and longevity even under extreme conditions. Its particularly robust body, made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel alloys such as 1.4571, guarantees reliable function even under permanently high pressure and temperature loads. Upon request, versions with particularly resistant materials such as nickel-based alloys or Hastelloy® are also available, allowing the sight glass to be reliably used even in highly aggressive or thermally highly stressed process environments.
Type 521 is characterized by two opposite sight glass plates made from high-quality thermally pre-stressed borosilicate glass. These glasses are based on the requirements of DIN 7080 and allow for clear and safe process observation from two sides or targeted illumination of the medium. The dual-sided visibility enables real-time visual control of the process – a significant safety and efficiency advantage in modern process engineering.
The weld ends comply with DIN EN ISO 1127 and ensure standard-compliant, fitting, and safe integration into existing piping systems. Depending on the requirements, the flow sight glass can be manufactured for pressure classes up to PN 400, making it ideal for high-pressure processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, or energy industries.
Thanks to its thoughtful design, high-quality material selection, and flexible execution options, the high-pressure sight glass type 521 offers a durable, safe, and individually customizable solution for the most demanding industrial applications. Customer-specific special construction lengths and weld ends are possible as long as they are technically feasible.
