The high-pressure flow sight glass Type 520 is a robust sight glass for industrial high-pressure applications. The sight glass is integrated into piping systems as a wafer-type version and enables safe visual process inspection or illumination of liquid and gaseous media.
The fitting has flange connections according to DIN EN 1092-1 and covers the nominal pressure ratings from PN 63 to PN 400. This makes Type 520 suitable for applications where processes under high operating pressures need to be reliably observed.
The two opposite viewing windows enable process observation from both sides as well as targeted illumination of the medium. The sight glass plates are made of high-quality thermally pre-stressed borosilicate glass manufactured according to DIN 7080.
The body, connection flanges and cover flanges are manufactured as standard from corrosion-resistant stainless steel 1.4571. For highly aggressive media or high thermal loads, particularly resistant special materials such as nickel-based alloys or Hastelloy are possible through individual special designs.
The high-pressure flow sight glass Type 520 is designed for demanding process conditions and engineered for permanently high pressure and temperature loads.
For particularly aggressive or thermally highly stressed media, special materials such as nickel-based alloys or Hastelloy are possible. This allows the flow sight glass to be adapted to chemical, thermal and process-related requirements.
The two opposite viewing windows are made of high-quality borosilicate glass according to DIN 7080. They enable safe process observation from two sides as well as targeted illumination of the medium.
For the sight glass, LED lights, mica protection screens, metal-fused safety sight glasses and application-specific special designs are possible, among other options. The optional accessories are used to adapt the high-pressure flow sight glass to increased safety requirements, temperature loads, lighting requirements or special process conditions.
The high-pressure flow sight glass Type 520 is typically used in piping systems, process engineering plants and industrial high-pressure processes with liquid or gaseous media.
As a wafer-type version, the sight glass fitting can be integrated into the pipeline between flanges according to DIN EN 1092-1. The fitting is particularly suitable for applications in the chemical industry, petrochemicals, research and development and the energy industry.
When better visibility of flow, colour, turbidity or process condition is required, the medium can be specifically illuminated.

The Type 520 high-pressure sight glass is designed for industrial high-pressure applications in piping systems and process plants. It is suitable for visual inspection or viewing of liquid and gaseous media inside the pipe.
The Type 520 is available in pressure ratings of PN 63, PN 100, PN 160, PN 250, PN 320, and PN 400. This makes the flow sight glass suitable for demanding applications involving high operating pressures.
The Type 520 is flanged between flanges in accordance with DIN EN 1092-1. This allows the valve to be integrated into the existing piping system.
The two viewing windows on opposite sides allow the process to be observed from both sides. In addition, the medium can be specifically illuminated to better assess flow, color, turbidity, or process conditions.
The Type 520 is manufactured from 1.4571 stainless steel as standard. For aggressive or high-temperature process environments, special materials such as nickel-based alloys or Hastelloy are available upon request.
For the Type 520, options include LED lights, mica protective screens, metal-fused safety sight glasses, and application-specific custom designs. Special materials such as nickel-based alloys or Hastelloy can be evaluated upon request. These options are designed to adapt the high-pressure sight glass to increased safety requirements, temperature loads, lighting requirements, or special process conditions.
