Flange mounting according to DIN EN 1092-1
Manhole sight glass for working pressures up to 16 barg
Non binding • Usually a response within 24 hours
The Type 325 manway sight glass is designed for closing access and inspection openings on tanks, silos and vessels.
The vessel sight glass is used for flange mounting according to DIN EN 1092-1. In contrast to conventional manway covers, Type 325 features an integrated sight glass frame similar to DIN 28120. This allows the fitting to combine the secure closure of a vessel opening with the ability to visually monitor processes inside the vessel.
The Type 325 manway sight glass is manufactured as standard from stainless steel 1.4571 and is designed for use on large vessel openings in tanks, silos and technical installations. Other materials can also be offered on request.
Borosilicate glass according to DIN 7080 is used as the sight glass. Customer-specific versions of the vessel sight glass can be reviewed and implemented on request, depending on the application.
A wide range of flat gasket materials is available for sealing. These include PTFE, NBR, novaphit® MST-XP, KlingerSil® C4400 and other gasket materials for different media, temperature and process requirements.
For applications involving aggressive chemicals or caustic solutions, FEP or Halar® coatings are available to provide additional protection for the borosilicate glass on the media side.
For a clear view into the vessel interior, Type 325 can be equipped with an SGW sight glass wiper, a spray device or an LED light for hazardous and non-hazardous areas. We are also happy to review and implement application-specific custom designs for you.
Typical applications for the Type 325 manway sight glass include tanks, silos, vessels and technical installations with large access or inspection openings.
The fitting is particularly suitable for applications where a vessel opening must be securely closed while at the same time allowing visual monitoring of liquid or gaseous media inside the vessel.

3) Other sizes and other diameters upon request
Type 325 is designed for applications on tanks, silos and vessels where access or inspection openings must be securely closed. In contrast to a conventional manway cover, the manway sight glass additionally allows visual monitoring of processes inside the vessel.
Type 325 covers the pressure ratings PN 6, PN 10 and PN 16. Depending on the version, operating pressures of up to max. 16 barg are possible. This makes the manway sight glass suitable for applications where large vessel openings need to be closed with a robust sight glass fitting.
The Type 325 manway sight glass is available in the nominal sizes DN 300, DN 350, DN 400, DN 450, DN 500, DN 600, DN 700 and DN 800. Additional sizes or different viewing diameters can be checked on request.
A conventional manway cover is primarily used to close an access or inspection opening. Type 325 combines this function with an integrated sight glass frame similar to DIN 28120. This allows the vessel opening to be closed while still maintaining direct visual access to the inside of the vessel.
Available options for Type 325 include the SGW sight glass wiper, SVI spray devices, LED lights for hazardous and non-hazardous areas, FEP or Halar® coatings, as well as custom designs
