The glass ring pipe sight glass Type 641 is a compact wafer-type version for flange connections according to DIN EN 1092-1. It enables 360° visual inspection of liquid and gaseous media directly in piping systems and is designed for industrial applications with increased operating pressures.
The transparent glass ring allows a complete all-round view of the medium. This enables filling, flow, throughput, colour, turbidity and process condition to be visually assessed directly during operation.
Type 641 covers the nominal pressure ratings PN 25 and PN 40. Depending on nominal size, material and version, operating pressures up to max. 40 barg are possible. The short wafer-type design enables space-saving installation between two flanges and can also be used for retrofitting into existing plants.
The glass ring pipe sight glass Type 641 is designed for more demanding pressure ranges in piping systems with DIN flange connections. The standard version consists of thermally pre-stressed borosilicate glass and combines high optical transparency with the required stability for operating conditions up to PN 25/40.
If existing flange distances or structural specifications differ from the standard version, special designs are possible. This allows Type 641 to be adapted to project-specific installation situations.
Sealing is achieved using application-specific flat gaskets. The selection of gasket material and version depends on the medium, pressure, temperature and the respective installation conditions.
The glass ring pipe sight glass Type 641 is used in piping systems where compact visual inspection at increased operating pressures is required. With the nominal pressure ratings PN 25 and PN 40, the fitting is suitable for more demanding process conditions than simple low-pressure sight glasses.
Thanks to the short wafer-type design, Type 641 can be installed directly between flanges according to DIN EN 1092-1. The transparent glass ring provides a 360° view of the medium and enables inspection of filling, flow, throughput, colour, turbidity or foam formation during operation.
Typical applications include chemical and process engineering plants, apparatus engineering, energy and utility technology, water and wastewater technology as well as industrial piping systems with increased requirements for pressure resistance and compact design.

The Glasring tubular sight glass of type 641 is intended for visual process and flow monitoring in pipeline systems with DIN flange connections. It is suitable for liquid and gaseous media and is intended for applications with elevated operating pressures up to max. 40 barg.
Type 641 is installed as an intermediate flange design between flanges according to DIN EN 1092-1. This allows the fitting to be compactly integrated into existing DIN flange connections.
Type 641 covers the nominal pressure ratings PN 25 and PN 40. Depending on the nominal size, material and design, operating pressures of up to max. 40 barg are possible. For larger nominal sizes or different materials, the permissible operating pressure may be lower.
The Glasring tubular sight glass type 641 is available in nominal sizes DN 10 to DN 125. Other sizes, overall lengths and flange standards are available on request.
The Glasring design combines a compact intermediate-flange configuration with a full 360°-view of the medium. For type 641, this configuration is designed for elevated operating pressures up to max. 40 barg and is therefore suitable for more demanding process conditions.
