Product information
The ACI valve liquid level indicator type 460 consists of two valves that are connected by a borosilicate glass tube.
It is designed for external mounting on a tank and reliably indicates the liquid level inside the container according to the principle of communicating vessels.
Type 460 is available in freely selectable lengths and can optionally be supplied with threaded or flanged connections. If the center distance between the valve axes exceeds 1500 mm, the pipe is divided into several sections that are stably connected together using spacers.
A stuffing box seal made of PTFE inside the valves ensures a secure seal. In case of contamination or damage, the valve liquid level indicator can be safely disconnected from the container and emptied at the connection points using the integrated shut-off valves.
Due to the sensitive glass tube, type 460 is delivered unassembled. When assembling – especially with flange connections – care must be taken to ensure that the connections are precisely aligned and not twisted against each other to ensure stress-free installation of the glass tube.
To protect the glass tube from mechanical impacts during operation, an impact protection tube made of Plexiglas® is optionally available.
