The ACI Flow sight glass type 334 is a lightweight design that offers a significantly enlarged viewing window compared to our type 330 at a relatively low working pressure of up to 3 barg. This construction allows the type 334 to combine the functions of our round sight glasses, such as type 318, and our level indicators for tank wall mounting Type 330.
The fitting is equipped with a sight glass plate made of high-quality borosilicate glass similar to DIN 7081 (or according to customer specifications). It is securely inserted between seals and tightly screwed to ensure long-term tightness and high pressure resistance.
Standardly, the Flow sight glass type 334 is made from stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti) – a material characterized by high corrosion resistance and durability. Upon request, the version is also available in many other materials, tailored to specific requirements and applications.
The sealing of the fitting is done with flat seals tailored to your needs from an extensive range of materials. This offers, in addition to the common fiber seals, more advanced materials such as PTFE (Teflon®), NBR, novaphit® MST-XP, KlingerSil® C4400, and many other branded seals.
If the maximum operating temperature of borosilicate glass DIN 7081 does not meet your requirements, or if process conditions pose a problem even for the highly resistant borosilicate glass, a mica protection disc specially adapted for the fitting provides additional protection against temperature and steam. FEP or Halar® coatings provide additional protection for borosilicate glass against aggressive chemicals or alkalis.
